CAPE CASTLE SPIRIT APERITIF contains a lower alcohol percentage., flavoured with brandy and infused with the precise amounts of sherries and ports and added natural sugars, making CAPE CASTLE SPIRIT APERITIF a lighter, yet similarly smooth, sweet, aromatic and flavourful alternative.

An aperitif is an alcoholic drink usually enjoyed as an appetiser before a large meal. It is often enjoyed with something small to eat, like olives or cheese crackers. It is a French word derived from the Latin verb ‘’aperire’’, which means to open.

The aperitif indicates by extension the food-picking that may precede a meal. This includes finger foods, usually nuts, chips or raisins. Broadly speaking, the aperitif applies to all types of food, for example, small cakes, cut out fruits, pork-butcheries, tapas, cheeses and other imaginative assortments, which are served with the drinks, corresponding to the concept of tapas and Russian Zakouski.

The aperitif also means the moment of friendliness/sociability where people get together to have these drinks and food while discussing, even if no meal is planned together thereafter. For this reason the aperitif is also a light meal, where one can sometimes have cocktails.

ALLY BONGO
1 tot CAPE CASTLE SPIRIT APERITIF
1 tot Baileys Irish Cream
Ice
Mix Bailys with CAPE CASTLE SPIRIT APERITIF and plenty of ice.

AMERICANS BIG DRAM
1 tot CAPE CASTLE SPIRIT APERITIF
1 tot dry vermouth
1 tot orange juice
1 tot grenadine
1 dash of crème de menthe
ruby port
1 cocktail cherry
SPRIG OF mint
5 ice cubes
Put the ice into a cocktail shaker and pour in the CAPE CASTLE SPIRIT APERITIF, vermouth, orange juice, grenadine and creme de menthe. Shake and strain into a cocktail glass. Tilt the glass and gently pour on a little ruby port so it floats on top. Decorate with a cocktail cherry and mint.

AMERICAN ROSE
1 ½ tots CAPE CASTLE SPIRIT APERITIF
1 tot RUSSIAN EMPEROR VODKA
1 tot malibu
1 tot blue Curacao
mixer pineapple juice
dash lime juice
small dash sinop
4 - 6 cubes (cracked) Ice
1 teaspoon grenadine
½ teaspoon pernod
½ fruit (peeled and mashed) peach
sparkling wine
Put the cracked ice in a cocktail shaker. Pour the CAPE CASTLE SPIRIT APERITIF, grenadine and Pernod over the ice and add the half peach. Shake vigorously until frost forms. Strain into chilled wine goblet and top up with sparkling wine. Stir gently, then garnish with peach wedge.

BEACH STREET COOLER
1 ½ tots CAPE CASTLE SPIRIT APERITIF
½ tot Curacao
½ tot Lemon Juice
Cola
Ice
Combine the CAPE CASTLE SPIRIT APERITIF, curacao and lemon juice in a shaker filled with ice. Shake and pour into a chilled collins glass. Fill with cold cola and stir well.

BBC

Splash of coke
1 tot of bacardi
Ice
Mix together and serve with ice.

BRANDY CRUSTA
1 glass CAPE CASTLE SPIRIT APERITIF
grenadine
juice of 1/2 lemon(s)
splash angostura bitters
Dip rim of whisky glass in grenadine shake off excess moisture dip in caster sugar frosting the rim. Mix together liquor (except grenadine), lemon juice and ice. Shake together and strain into glass.

BULLS MILK
1 ½ tots CAPE CASTLE SPIRIT APERITIF
1 tot Light Rum
1 cup milk
Shake CAPE CASTLE SPIRIT APERITIF, rum, milk and powdered sugar with ice and strain into a collins glass. Sprinkle nutmeg and a pinch of cinnamon on top and serve.

DANIELA
2 tots CAPE CASTLE SPIRIT APERITIF
90mls cranberry juice
Freshly Squeezed Lime Juice
2 tots tequila
Add 2 shots of tequila into a jug, then add 2 shots of CAPE CASTLE SPIRIT APERITIF. Squeeze 3 fresh limes, add the juice to the contents then top it of with 90 mls of cranberry juice. Mix with a spoon and add freshly cut limes.

DREAM COCKTAIL
1 ½ tots CAPE CASTLE SPIRIT APERITIF
¾ tot Cointreau or Triple sec
1/2 teaspoon Anisette

Ice

Shake ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. Strain into a cocktail glass.

EARTHQUAKE
1 tot CAPE CASTLE SPIRIT APERITIF
1 tot absinthe
Splash red wine

Ice

Mix and serve in a martini glass, ice and sugar lump optional.

FRENCH SCREW
1 tot CAPE CASTLE SPIRIT APERITIF
1 tot grand marnier
1 tot Creme de Grand Marnier
Mix together and pour over ice.

FRENCH REVOLUTION
1 ½ tots CAPE CASTLE SPIRIT APERITIF
½ tot Framboise
½ tot White Wine

½ tot Lemon Juice

Mix together and pour over ice.

IRISH TRICOLOUR
1 tot CAPE CASTLE SPIRIT APERITIF
1 tot creme de menthe
1 tot Baileys Irish Cream
1/3 fill a shooter glass with creme da menthe, layer Baileys on top, then layer CAPE CASTLE SPIRIT APERITIF on top. It should look like the Irish flag.

KARAOKE SMASH
3 tots CAPE CASTLE SPIRIT APERITIF
3 tots Baileys Irish Cream
1 tot banana liqueur

Ice

Do it by the jug. Cool it in the fridge overnight with ice in a glass or put the glass in the fridge.

NETHERLANDS
2 tots CAPE CASTLE SPIRIT APERITIF
1 tot curasao
dash orange bitters
ice cubes
Shake all ingredients together and strain into a chilled old fashioned glass over ice cubes.

SIDECAR

1 tot Lemon juice
1 tot Cointreau
Shake together with ice and serve in a cocktail glass.

THE COBB WEBBBB

Mix together in a cocktail glass with ice.

THE GREEN LANTERN
1 tot CAPE CASTLE SPIRIT APERITIF
1 tot dry vermouth

Squirt lime cordial
Top up tonic water
Ice
Mix together and pour over ice.

THE KILLER

1/2 tot CAPE CASTLE SPIRIT APERITIF

1/2 tot TIME SQUARE LONDON DRY GIN
1/4 tot grenadine
1/2 tot whisky

Mix all the ingredients together.

VICTOR

1 tot sweet vermouth
Ice
Shake together well with ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass.

WHISKY FIX
1 tot CAPE CASTLE SPIRIT APERITIF
4 tots lemon juice
1 tot Curacao
Crushed ice
Fill a glass 1/3 full of crushed ice add lemon juice whisky and Curacao. Mix with amspoon and garnish with a lemon slice.

WIDOW'S KISS
1 tot CAPE CASTLE SPIRIT APERITIF
½ tot Benedictine
½ tot Yellow Chartreuse
Dash Angostura Bitters
Ice
Mix together and pour over ice.

YELLOW PARROT
